Perfect Makeup

Makeup is substances or products used to enhance or alter the appearance of the face or fragrance and texture of the body. The main purpose of makeup is to enhance the features of your face to make you look attractive. Cosmetic products that can be applied to the face include: skin-care creams, lipsticks, eye and facial makeup, towelettes, and colored contact lenses.

What is the main purpose of makeup?

As part of a daily routine, most women use makeup to enhance their appearance. According to statistics, one in three women will not leave home without wearing makeup.

The key to a natural, healthy, glowing skin is first to protect it by using makeup without harmful ingredients. The second is application. At the commencement of this article, it was mentioned that on average, women use 60 percent more makeup than what is necessary. Depending on the type of makeup, application technique will vary. Liquid or cream makeups will use sponges or even the fingers, while powder or mineral makeup will most often use kabuki brushes. Regardless of the application method, makeup should be applied properly, never looking heavy, but instead giving off a natural, sheer radiance.

Lip Gloss

Lip gloss is a product used primarily to give lips a glossy luster and sometimes subtle color. It is distributed as a liquid or a soft solid. This type of makeup can be completely clear, translucent, or various shades of opacity, including frosted, glittered, glassy, and metallic finishes.

Lip Liner

Lip liner adds depth to the colour of your lipstick. It’s like applying two shades of nail polish to your nails. You’ll get a deeper colour but if you only apply one colour it looks washed out. It provides a base for your lips. So when your lipstick wears off you’ll still have a stain of colour on your lips. As you get older it stops darker colours especially reds from bleeding into the skin around your mouth.

Lip Plumper

Lip plumper is a type of cosmetic product used to make lips appear fuller. In appearance, it ranges from translucent to opaque and tinted. These products typically work by irritating the thin, delicate skin of the lips with ingredients like menthol or camphor. This makes the lips swell slightly, which may also diminish the appearance of fine lines in that area. Other perceived benefits include stimulating collagen production and moisturizing. A lip plumper’s effects are temporary, so it must be reapplied throughout the day to maintain the results.

Lip Balm

The primary purpose of lip balm is to provide an occlusive layer on the lip surface to seal moisture in lips and protect them from external exposure. Dry air, cold temperatures, and wind all have a drying effect on skin by drawing moisture away from the body. Lips are particularly vulnerable because the skin is so thin, and thus they are often the first to present signs of dryness.

Lip Primer

Lip primer is a type of makeup product designed to be worn underneath lipstick, lip liner, and/or lip gloss. It is a type of makeup that acts as a foundation for the lips, similar to the foundation one might apply to the face. A lip primer is typically clear, matte, and meant to be unnoticeable on the lips, but it serves the purpose of smoothing the appearance of the lips, as well as making lipstick or other lip cosmetics last longer.

Lip Booster

Hydrates the lips helps restore collagen and maximizes lip gloss to instantly treat and restore lip vitality.

Lip Stain

Either water or gel based and may contain alcohol to help the product stay on the lips. The idea behind lip stains is to temporarily saturate the lips with a dye, rather than covering them with a colored wax. Usually designed to be waterproof, types of makeup product like this may come with an applicator brush or be applied with a finger.
